IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM ELLEN HARRIGAN

The Lincoln Park Office of Emergency Management, together with the Lincoln Park Police Department and other County, State and Federal agencies are doing their best to provide for the safety and well being of everyone in the community and has recently completed work on a new program to help with area or town wide emergencies.

The Emergency Notification System that is provided through Morris County, when activated, will generate phone calls to the community with messages regarding any Emergency and the steps that you should take. PLEASE NOTE: If you should receive such a call, or fax, please listen carefully to the message and, if applicable, take any action required. This system will only be implemented when an emergency is imminent.

Secondly, it is becoming more and more important that all adults keep positive identification with them at all times. The following forms are those most accepted: Photo Driver's License; passport; Alien Registration Card; County ID. Please be sure that you have such identification with you whenever possible. In addition, you should have identification for minor children readily available. This information should be kept in a secure place that is easily accessible to an adult member of the household.

We would like to also take the time to remind you that any suspicious activity that you observe should be reported to the authorities. This holds true not only in Lincoln Park, but wherever you may be.

If you have any questions, please call 973-694-0401

Sincerely,

Ellen C. Harrigan
Coordinator of Emergency Management
